What a lovely warm, cosy cottage. Brilliantly located within easy walking distance to the lovely shops, restaurants and pubs. This cottage has everything you could think of and ever need, even down to a well tuned piano. Perfect for a cosy evening.
Anne is the perfect host and couldn’t be more helpful in providing local knowledge and her attention to detail in the cottage is excellent. I would highly recommend the property as a lovely place to stay.

The cottage is secluded and peaceful but close to all the amenities that Holt as to offer. We have enjoyed a relaxing week at No.8. Horatios for breakfast and Alberts for fish and chips. We have had walks around Blakeney, Sheringham and to Cley Beach.

A comfortable, clean, well equipped cottage in a quiet location. A good base from which to explore the area including the National Trust's Blickling and Oxburgh estates. It was also a pleasure to play the fine Welmar piano - a first for us in any self-catering accommodation we have stayed in!

This was our fifth visit to No 8, which must say a lot about it’s appeal.it’s very cosy ,and being at the end of
the terrace,very quiet. Lovely to sit outside when the sun shines . Very convenient for all the shops in Holt. We tend not to use the car, but catch the coast bus, hopping on and off at all the coastal villages.We hope to be back soon.

Beautiful cottage in lovely town of Holt.
This beautiful, quaint cottage is perfect for one or two visitors, and is situated right in the town centre of Holt. It is a short walk to the shops including pretty boutiques and cafes and restaurants. Close by are lovely unspoilt beaches, so beach and countryside walks aplenty around here! Parts of Norfolk feel like you’re stepping back in time. Due to the circumstances that unfolded while I was staying here, I spent my time indoors at the cottage, and it was so cosy and pretty. There are plenty of books, dvds, piano sheet music and a lovely piano to play, and I also loved cooking whilst here. Highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a Norfolk getaway, and I plan to return in future! Anne (the owner) was really friendly and helpful, and very quick to get back to my enquiries about booking.

We have stayed several times and it never disappoints. We have stayed at 8 Carpenter's several times, usually at colder times of the year, and it never disappoints. Although anything that you might need in a town, such as cafes, pubs, restaurants and a supermarket, are on your doorstep it is completely quiet and very comfortable and warm. Great to come back to after a 'bracing' Norfolk day (the bird reserve at Cley is barely 10 minutes drive away). The cottage is a real home from home for us, very well equipped and obviously caringly maintained by the owner. Lovely to be back again. Thank you for the tulips!
